MVA - Curation of Contemporary Art & Design Application Form at WUD 2027

The MVA in Curation of Contemporary Art & Design at WUD is the first program of its kind in India, designed to prepare the next generation of curators as cultural leaders, critical thinkers, and community connectors. Today, curators are not only exhibition-makers but also play transformative roles in shaping institutions, engaging audiences, and addressing questions of identity, equity, and social justice through Art.
This two-year, hands-on program combines academic rigor with real-world practice. Students gain grounding in art history, philosophy, and criticism, while also studying the ethics, politics, and responsibilities of curatorship. Practical training includes exhibition-making, collaborative research, curatorial writing, and alternative models of presentation. Working closely with artists, institutions, and communities, students explore experimental and socially engaged practices that connect local concerns to global discourses.

Graduation with minimum 50% marks; Admission through PG Art Aptitude Test and Interview

Graduates are prepared for impactful careers as curators, exhibition designers, cultural producers, museum educators, art writers, or arts managers, with opportunities across galleries, museums, biennales, art fairs, archives, foundations, and cultural organizations. They emerge as curators for the future equally at ease with scholarship, community engagement, and leadership in the art ecosystem.
