The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences introduced BA with Civil Services Exam Preparation at Graphic Era Deemed to be University. The Program is a comprehensive three-year undergraduate program which is based on the principles of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), in alignment with the framework of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The program provides an integrated academic framework that enables students to pursue a rigorous undergraduate education while systematically preparing aspirants for the Civil Services Examination (UPSC-CSE).
The program incorporates the core components of the UPSC-CSE syllabus within the undergraduate academic structure, thereby providing students with a structured pathway for competitive examination preparation alongside their degree program. The interdisciplinary components aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to address evolving societal and governance challenged to nurture academically proficient, socially responsible, and future-ready professionals capable of contributing effectively to public administration and nation-building.

Candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum percentage (often 50% aggregate, but varies).

This Course prepares students for diverse career opportunities in public administration, governance, policy, research, and allied fields. The program equips graduates with interdisciplinary knowledge, analytical capabilities, communication skills, and administrative competencies required for success in competitive examinations and professional . and higher management roles.

Graduates may pursue careers through Civil Services and other competitive examinations, including the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS), Indian Foreign Services (IFS), State Civil Services, and various central and state government positions. The program also creates pathways in Public Policy Research, Governance Consultancy, Think Tanks, legislative research organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), International Development Agencies, and Social Sector Institutions.
