Bachelor of Respiratory Technology (B.RT.)

Parul University’s Bachelor of Respiratory Technology (B.R.T.) is an undergraduate program that prepares students for a career in respiratory care and critical care services. The course begins with an introduction to the anatomy of the human respiratory system and the physiology of the lungs, followed by the understanding of various respiratory disorders and the use of modern technology for their diagnosis and treatment. Students are taught the knowledge and develop proficiency in the procedures to assist healthcare professionals in caring for patients suffering from lung ailments and breathing-related disorders.

Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. Admission shall be based on the merit of the Senior Secondary (10+2) examination. The candidate must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or must complete 17 years of age on or before 31 December of the year of admission to the first year of the undergraduate Allied and Healthcare program. Submission of a medical fitness certificate, duly endorsed by a Government Medical Officer, is mandatory. Reservation for admission to undergraduate programs shall be applicable as per the norms of the State/Central Government. Foreign national students seeking admission to undergraduate programs in India must obtain an equivalence/eligibility certificate from the respective State Allied and Healthcare Council. Admission of foreign national students shall be based on the University Entrance Examination. Prior to enrollment, the respective institution and the University shall verify the validity and duration of the student's visa. The admission criteria may be revised by the Commission from time to time, and the admission process shall be conducted by the respective State Government, Union Territory, or University.
